How Payment Works in Quest

Learn how payment works in Quest, including Individual Credit Card, Company Credit Card, and Wallet options.

Written by Kenny Totten

Quest handles two separate payments:

  1. Travel costs — the actual price of the flights and hotels your travelers book.

  2. Ticketing fees — AllFly's flat, per-ticket service fee for each airline reservation created.

Both are managed in one place: Billing in the left-hand menu.

Before your workspace can book

Two things need to be set before travelers can book:

  • A funding source for travel — Individual Credit Card, Company Credit Card, or Company Wallet.

  • A payment method for ticketing fees — either a credit card on file, or Wallet Debit if you're using the Company Wallet.

Until both are set, bookings can't be completed. Everything below explains the options.

1. Payment for travel

One payment method governs the entire workspace. Whichever option you choose applies to every transaction in Quest — event travel and everyday individual travel, every traveler, every booking. There is no per-trip, per-team, or per-event override.

Choose one of three:

  • Individual Credit Card - Travelers pay with their own card at checkout. Best for companies with an expense reimbursement program, where employees want to earn their own points and rewards. Split Pay unavailable.

  • Company Credit Card - A single company card is stored and used for all flight and hotel bookings. Ideal for smaller teams, or when one person manages all travel spend. Split Pay unavailable.

  • Company Wallet - A prepaid company account — think of it like a Starbucks card for business travel. You load funds, and travelers book directly against the balance. No expense reports, no reimbursements. If you want to use Split Pay, our most popular feature, you must select Company Wallet.

Managing your Wallet

If you're on Company Wallet, the Billing page also gives you:

  • Add Funds and Request Withdraw - to move money in and out of the balance.

  • A Balance Alert Threshold — set a dollar amount and we'll notify you when the wallet balance drops below it. (Default is $5,000.)

To set up: Billing → Select payment method for traveler bookings.

2. Ticketing fees

AllFly charges a flat, per-ticket fee for each airline reservation created. You choose how that fee is collected:

Credit Card Subscription The card on file is charged a monthly invoice for all ticketing service fees. Works with any travel payment method — Individual Card, Company Card, or Wallet.

Wallet Debit (new) Ticketing fees are debited from your Wallet balance instantly, the moment a booking is ticketed. No monthly invoice, no card on file. Available only if your travel payment method is Company Wallet.

To set up: Billing → Ticketing Fee Payment Method. If you choose Credit Card Subscription, add your card below under Payment Method for Ticketing Fees.
